Long Term Storage: +4°C
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to the sequence near the N-terminus of human c-FLIP6. The sequence conserved among all c-FLIP variants.
Application: Immunocytochemistry (5µg/ml)
Western Blot (0.5-1.0µg/ml)
Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.
Specificity: Recognizes human, mouse and rat c-FLIP. Detects a band of ~28-58kDa by Western blot.
Purity Detail: Peptide affinity purified.
Formulation: Liquid. In PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Miscellaneous/General: The cellular FLICE-like inhibitory protein, cFLIP, is a cellular homologue of the viral protein, vFLIP. cFLIP contains two death effector domains (DEDs) and is expressed as either a short or long splice variant called cFLIPs and cFLIPL, respectively. cFLIP acts as a caspase-8 dominant negative regulator, blocking apoptosis induced by the oligimerization of the adapter protein, FADD. cFLIP interacts with FADD and caspase-8 through their respective DEDs.
