Alternative Name: TPN, TPSN, TAP binding protein
Long Term Storage: -20°C
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 2-20 of human tapasin with a cysteine residue added.
Application: Western Blot (1:1000, colorimetric)
Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.
Specificity: Recognizes human Tapasin. Detects a band of ~48kDa by Western blot.
Formulation: Liquid. Whole Rabbit Serum.
Miscellaneous/General: Tapasin is a 48 kDa glycoprotein which is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is required for efficient peptide binding to TAP (Transporter associated with antigen processing). TAP binds peptides in its cytosolic part and subsequently translocates the peptides into the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum where assembly of MHC class I and peptide takes place.
