Chemical Name 4-[(1R)-1-Aminoethyl]-N-4-pyridinylcyclohexanecarboxamide dihydrochloride
Biological Description Y-27632 dihydrochloride is a selective Rho-kinase inhibitor, which suppresses cholinergic nerve-mediated contractions. Activation of excitatory receptors coupled to G-proteins can cause contraction of smooth muscle by increasing Ca2+-sensitivity without changing [Ca2+]. This pathway involves RhoA, a small, monomeric G-protein that activates Rho-kinase.
