Protection against mycoplasma, bacteria and fungi
Normocin? is an innovative antibiotic formulation designed to prevent cell lines from mycoplasma, bacterial and fungal contaminations.
Normocin? can be routinely added in the cell culture medium in combination with Penicillin/Streptomycin to broaden the anti-bacterial spectrum.
Key Features:
Active against both Gram+ and Gram- bacteria, mycoplasmas and fungi
Can be used in combination with Penicillin/Streptomycin
Non-toxic to the cell line being treated
Normocin? contains three compounds. Two of these compounds act on Gram+ bacteria, Gram- bacteria, and mycoplasmas by blocking DNA and protein synthesis. The third compound eradicates yeasts and fungi by disrupting ionic exchange through the cell membrane.
