FHC is a full hydraulic calculation program for use with fire sprinkler systems and other water based fixed fire protection systems to International standards. It has been used successfully with fire sprinkler systems, water spray, ESFR, deluge, drencher, hose reel, hydrant, foam sprinklers, ring mains, foam monitors and water mist systems.

FHC can calculate any type of hydraulic model

from the most complex fire sprinkler installations with roof and racks, water mist systems, water spray systems, hydrants or a water cannon installation. In addition, FHC can calculate almost any water-based fire protection system and is very flexible. Any pipework network can be built from a simple tree, looped to multiple looped systems or any combination.

As you create the pipe network in FHC and when you connect the pipes, FHC will automatically find any tee's and elbows and look up the equivalent length in its extensive tube and fitting database. This will save you considerable time and is less prone to input errors. Also, if you change the pipework configuration, FHC will automatically make the necessary fitting adjustments to ensure your hydraulic model is up to date.

FHC's fast calculation algorithm

FHC will give you the results you require in seconds, allowing you to concentrate on optimising the system for the most economical design. In addition, you can choose to use Hazen-Williams or Darcy-Weisbach pressure loss equations to calculate the pipe friction loss. FHC is suitable for fire sprinkler systems & high and low-pressure water mist systems, and other high demanding systems.

FHC can calculate the source pressure and flow required for the system, or you can specify a fire pump curve, constant pressure pump or a city water supply, and FHC will balance the system to the water supply.
