  因此,培养具有国际竞争力的全球优秀人才是中国教育的重中之重。一个全球性的人才应该具备知识、技能和态度,才能够在中国乃至世界各地的各行各业取得成功。这是一个独特的能力组合,包括跨文化交际能力、多学科系统分析能力、世界和国际机构背景知识、换位思考能力、解决问题的能力,以及与他人协调沟通的能力。北京爱迪学校开设了一系列专业课程,帮助培养新一代的全球人才,其中包括模拟联合国(MUN)强化培训证书课程。该项目由MUN项目负责人李潇开发,并得到了北京外国语大学的认可,该大学培养了众多优秀的中国外交官。

  在爱迪学校MUN课程里,学生不仅学习标准MUN知识和技能,比如MUN的规则、制度以及如何辩论,还要接受全面、高强度的培训,获取相关知识、技能和培养态度和价值观,成为未来所需的全球性人才。我们相信,这不仅能够提高学生在全球化世界中的竞争优势,也能帮助他们成为更有用的人,为改善世界做出贡献。教与学创新中心教师将使用21世纪教学法,引领学生体验真实的工作环境,帮助他们通过MUN项目建立信心,并通过各种国际环境测试提升能力。

  11月5日,我们在创新实验室举行了一年一度的MUN开幕仪式,开始了这个独特的项目式学习计划,参与者包括初级模联俱乐部的所有学生。首先,教与学创新中心总监Russell Hazard博士解释了何为全球性人才,并主导了接下来的项目研讨会。会议中特邀嘉宾、隶属于联合国环境规划署的非政府组织“世界和谐基金会”副秘书长刘莎莎就联合国目前正在进行的项目、MUN国际组织需要什么样的人才等问题分享了她的看法和个人经历。紧接着,MUN团队教师之一Tom Yang杨祎明老师为学生讲述了如何利用植根于经济学的多学科思维,深入了解复杂系统和解决全球问题。最后,模联项目负责人李潇介绍了整个项目的目标和规划,和同学们一同开启了“学习的冒险之旅”。

  我们相信,爱迪学校精心培养出的下一代全球性人才将走出中国,在世界的舞台发挥巨大的作用。我们也感到非常自豪,因为我们的学生和教师将通过不断的复杂性挑战和学习成为该领域的佼佼者。

  Imagine our top diplomats, who are capable of rapidly analyzing complex situations and then negotiating with people from multiple cultures and perspectives simultaneously. Imagine our top international businesspeople, who must critically assess the economic interplay between nations and work collaboratively with local allies to launch new ventures. Imagine our most successful NGO workers, who are capable of problem solving through the development and management of innovative projects that effectively take into account both present and future needs for a populace.

  The development of high-impact internationally competent global talents is one of the top priorities of Chinese education. A global talent has the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to succeed across industries in China, but also anywhere in the world. This requires a unique mix of competencies that include intercultural communicative competence, multidisciplinary systems analysis, background knowledge of the world and international institutions, the ability to shift perspectives, problem solve, and negotiate among others. Beijing Aidi School runs a number of specialist programs to help foster a new generation of global talents such as our Model United Nations (MUN) Intensive Training Certificate program. This program was developed by our MUN program leader, Li Xiao, and has been recognized by Beijing Foreign Studies University, which trains many of China’s diplomats for its excellence.

  In Aidi School MUN courses, students not only learn standard MUN knowledge and skills such as the rules and procedures of MUN and debating, but undergo comprehensive training to cultivate the full spectrum of knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become a global talent and the opportunity to use them in the real world. We believe these skills not only improve students competitive advantage in a globalized world, but also help them become a more useful person for improving society as a whole. Students are able to train with our Teaching, Learning and Innovation Center teachers to understand real-world working environments using 21st century pedagogy, they build confidence in their own MUN learning space, and then they can venture out into the world to test their abilities in a variety of international settings.

  On November 5th, we held our annual entry event in the Innovation Lab to start this unique Project-Based Learning program, which included all students from the Junior MUN club. First, Dr. Russell Hazard, Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation, explained the concept of becoming a global talent and led a hands-on workshop so students could engage in the active learning necessary to immerse themselves in the framework they will work to master in the coming year. Then our special guest Shera Liu, who is the Under Secretary from the World Harmony Foundation, an NGO affiliated to United Nations Environment Program, shared her views and personal experiences about what the United Nations is doing and what kind of talents such international organizations need. Next, one of our most important MUN team teachers, Tom Yang, delved into understanding complex systems and solving global problems using an understanding of multidisciplinary thinking rooted in economics. Finally, the MUN program leader, Li Xiao, outlined the objectives and rubrics for the entire program setting the students on their adventure of learning.

  At Aidi School, we believe the next generation of global talents that emerge from China will play a tremendous role in shaping the world, and we are proud to see our students and teachers taking on the challenge of learning this complex set of competencies to become leaders in the field.
